Ju-On might be haunting your TV in July in new Netflix sequence

It looks as if you may by no means actually do away with a really scary ghost.

Netflix is releasing a Japanese drama sequence titled Ju-On: Origins on July 3, which is able to make it the most recent instalment within the Ju-On franchise that started as a movie 20 years in the past.

After the primary film in 2000, Ju-On: The Curse – which launched us to the vengeful ghost Kayako and the spirit of a boy, Toshio – there have been many extra Ju-On movies, made in Japan in addition to Hollywood productions.

Earlier this 12 months, we noticed the discharge of Hollywood movie The Grudge, which tried to resuscitate Kayako with a narrative set in the USA, centring round a sequence of murders in a small city.

Nicely, the new movie was disappointing, so it’s excellent news that the franchise is again in Japan… and, for the primary time, introduced as a drama sequence.

Ju-On: Origins seems at the start of the curse: through which anybody who enters a sure deserted home the place a mom and her baby had been killed will die, and horribly too.

The synopsis tells us {that a} paranormal investigator, Yasuo Odajima (Yoshiyoshi Arakawa), is making an attempt to get to the reality behind the curse and the deaths. His investigation takes him to satisfy Haruka Honjo (Yuina Kuroshima), who retains listening to mysterious footsteps in her room at evening.

Will they get to the reality or will the curse get to them first? Discover out on July 3.
